Denizens of Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra may already be aware of our ridiculous touring schedule over the last few weeks. However, the pièce de résistance is yet to come with out sanity-destroying romp up the north coast just after Christmas. Prepare yourselves to check-check-us-out at Coffs, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay and Newcastle with our super good friends The Porkers
AND THEN,
Melbourne and Sydney with none other than The Special Beat Tour
I believe that my sanity has been destroyed at the mere thought of such a tour and we at Los Capitanes hope that yours will be too.
Check out the myspace (or this very page) for details. Also the website appears to be different. *shrugs*.

It appears that the transformation is complete. Once, yes, we had no gigs. But now... NOW... we have... *many* gigs!! LET THE WORLD TOUR OF AUSTRALIA BEGIN! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!11
THAT is correct. We *do* have a world tour of Australia, commencing at the end of November. Until then, we only have a few small shows like Trackside. Oh, who else is playing? Well I *think* it features Hilltop Hoods, Kisschasy, Butterfly Effect, et cetera, et cetera. The usual "gang" if you could even call it that.
Conclusion: Don't come. Whatever you do. I hate live music. And Jazz. Jazz can go **** ******* ** *******.
No no. Actually do come.
you. idiot. you thought I was serious the second time and joking the first time, didn't you? HA. get a load of this guy boys *laughs over shoulder and points with thumb*.

Come Together
Sydney (and Canberra!) Scene Kids came together (ahem) yesterday for Come Together. It was awesome, we met gajillions of cool people and equally many awesome bands. We'll have some photos and video up soon, I presume they are also awesome. Our next show is coming up at the Engadine Commuity Hall in Cronulla for Coreruption - there'll be lots of awesome hardcore bands to check out, we can't wait.

Dahahahahahahaha...hoo. CD launch.
How many ha's could a Dahahoo if a Daha could hoo ha's. Betcha haven't heard that one before since it is the world's most original joke. Come to dahahahoo's CD launch. Either one is fine even though we are only playing at the (far superior) all ages show at Greenroom on Saturday afternoon. Perceive (or even... discern...) some more details at their myspace.
We played some shows in Newcastle the other week with Cigars for the Man. And... well... they were really freakin' awesome! Check THEM out at THEIR myspace.
IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW how big we are. Just take a look at this. (Hint: it's our album on the itunes music store).
ISN'T THAT WILD???
So I guess you can uh... buy it if you want. Another option would be to come see us at a show and buy the actual CD, as a special bonus offer we will even shake your hand in congratulations. (Limited to one handshake per CD purchased).

Gigs in Melbourne

were awesome. Super Awesome. Don't stop me exaggerating because it is actually *impossible* to exaggerate how awesome they were. Espy went off as usual, but the highlight was seeing the awesome turn out for Sounds Like Chicken's last show. I don't think I have or will see again so many scene kids in the one room. It was an awesome effort for an awesome band.
If you don't know, SLC have been a stalwart of young ska for about 5 years (I believe). They certainly had a huge following in Melbourne and weren't afraid of touring out of their comfort zone to play shows with a huge variety of other bands. It's fascinating to see where those who were young teenagers when ska had it's late 90's revival have taken their experience of the genre. SLC added hardcore and metal and the fact that they are all solid players meant they could pull off the blend and perform exciting, energising shows. They left a great legacy in their many recordings and although they'll be missed I heard a rumour of a new project from some of the members and can't wait to see what transpires.
Oh and, well, I certainly wouldn't want to go to Come Together - I heard Los Cap is playing... How Embarrasing...

Ska v Rockabilly + Unidiversity.
There should be a word that's like the opposite of double bill, like instead of two bands playing one show on one night , one band playing two shows in one night... like... billed doubly... or billedubbel.
In that case, we have an extreme case of billedubbel this saturday as we attempt what was formerly thought impossible: playing in sydney at the ska vs rockabilly and then in Canberra at Unidiversity. Check us out at both IF YOU DARE.
Also, Greenroom Band Explosion was awesome. If you weren't there, allow me to assure you that the Greenroom literally exploded with the force of 40 bands playing simultaneously.
Checkout Swanny's photos at our flickr or his moshography page. Rock.

New School/Uni year. Frowns Abound.
New Video? Thanks, TIM.

NOT ME THOUGH I LOVE DOING WORK AND BEING STRESSED.
Thanks to everybody who rocked out with us at Carpathian on Thursday, also thanks to everybody who rocked out at Parklive on Australia day, ALSO thanks to the rad ska kids at the BMX festival last Saturday who rocked out. Whoa, that's a lot of rocking out! No really, you guys are awesome-core.
In terms of awesome-core news, the upcoming show at Greenroom on the 24th is going to be amazing AS IS the Unidiversity Festival at UC on the 3rd of March. Unfotunately we don't have anything lined up in Sydney at this point but we're going to have soon. You just trust me on that. In Melbourne, we're playing at the Espy with the ever exciting Porkers (Who are turning 20 soon, that is 20 years since they *were* 20 and started a band, so you do the maths). That show will probably not be very good, don't bother going. To Melbourne, that is.
